Bettie Woodson Weaver Elementary School

	The students at Bettie Weaver Elementary School are extremely proud of the lady for whom the school is named. She is an author and a very special teacher in Chesterfield County. While she was a teacher she tried to encourage her students to appreciate the natural beauty of Virginia and its natural resources - as they learned Virginia's wonderful history. She also helped pupils learn the history of Chesterfield County and to preserve its resources such as fruits, water, wildlife, minerals, and fresh air. She especially urged her students to appreciate the colorful songbirds that live nearby.
